A hotel in a Scottish island town can now be booked for cheaper than half price. The accommodation, which is situated in a waterfront setting, famously appeared on a beloved children’s series.
Tobermory is the capital of the Isle of Mull in the Inner Hebrides. It is known for being where the popular CBeebies series Balamory was filmed, which prominently features the town’s colourful harbour front buildings.
The Tobermory Hotel is currently available to book at a discount of 53 per cent through Wowcher. A two-night stay at the hotel is priced at £245 on the voucher website, down from the standard cost of £518.

Visitors booking through Wowcher can choose from either a double or twin standard inland view room. All of the rooms at The Tobermory Hotel include an en-suite bathroom, as well as “comfortable beds and charming décor”.
Guests will also receive a free bottle of wine in their room upon arrival, as well as a freshly made Scottish breakfast each morning. The Wowcher deal also includes a £25 dinner allowance per person at the hotel’s restaurant.
Among the dishes available on The Tobermory Hotel’s dinner menu are haggis bonbon, Cajun chicken thighs, Glengorm venison burger, and seafood boil. Desserts include a cheesecake of the week, Isle of Mull ice cream sundae, and coconut blancmange.

Meanwhile, a less enthusiastic review reads: “I so wanted to like this hotel and it could be spectacular given the beautiful location but I’m afraid it fell far short.”
The review also states: “Bed was a very small uncomfortable double. Shower didn’t work well and water was tepid.”
