Anyone keen for some winter sun on a budget may want to take a look
People travelling on Ryanair can head to a popular destination with highs of up to 22C in December, from £17. The budget airline is operating direct flights from Edinburgh to Fuerteventura throughout next month, and those keen to catch some winter sun may be able to bag a bargain.
According to the Met Office, the average daily high in December is 22C, and there are around six hours of sunshine per day. Comparatively, the average high temperature for December in Edinburgh is 7C, and there is usually around 1-3 hours of sunshine per day.
Fuerteventura is known for its beautiful sandy beaches and warmer climes. The Canary Island also has unique volcanic landscapes, and visitors can take up a number of water sports, such as windsurfing. Whether you want to relax, or be more adventurous, Fuerteventura could be a great choice if you want to get away.
