There is set to be big changes in the Ibrox midfielder under Derek McInnes
Jens Hjerto-Dahl has admitted he his preference to join Rangers with Tromso reportedly fielding bids for the midfielder.
The towering Tromso appeared set for a move to Turkish side Besiktas in the January window but the deal collapsed at the eleventh hour.
That sparked reports in Italy – where Serie A giants Lazio were among a string of clubs linked with the player – claiming the 20-year-old rising star was “one step away” from moving to Ibrox.
At the time Rangers distanced themselves from the chatter – and he remained in Norway with reports indicating that the player remained “on the wanted list” at Ibrox.
And despite Hjerto-Dahl committing his future to Tromso by penning a new contract, reports in Norway suggest that the Glasgow giants have seen a £5.3million bid rejected. It is also claimed that Besiktas have come in with an offer, reviving their January interest.
The player has now made his stance clear. When asked by iTromso about the prospect of a move to Rangers, he replied: “It’s more appealing than going to Turkey.”
The report notes that Tromso expect the Scottish club to follow up their offer with a second bid
Derek McInnes is in need of midfielder reinforcements with Nico Raskin attracting interest from across Europe following impressive displays for Belgium at the World Cup.
Sources in Italy state Atalanta and Bologna are keen on signing Raskin this summer, while reports down south claim the Ibrox club have turfed out a £14million offer from Hull. In Spain, Real Betis are said to be keeping tabs on the 25-year-old.
Fichajes claim that Inter have “set their sights” on signing the Red Devils’ star following the tournament.
It is claimed that the Italian giants “can offer more interesting sporting prospects” and Raskin has “selected” the club as his “most likely destination” – if the bid comes in.
The Light Blues are also closing in on deal for Serbian midfielder Vanja Dragojevic to bolster their engine room, while they maintain an interest in Bologna’s Lewis Ferguson.
