Those who have bought it are raving about its ease to use the fantastic tasting food it creates
With the promise of barbecue weather and al fresco dining on the near horizon, it’s time to prepare to cook outside. If you’re hauling out the BBQ to give it a dust off and are thinking it’s time to buy a new one, there’s a timely deal from Ninja right now.
That’s right, Ninja, the King of the air fryer now has a BBQ too and fans of it say there’s “no real competitors” to their Woodfire Electric Outdoor BBQ Grill.
Ninja has reduced the multi-use appliance from £299 to £251 and it’s the same 16 per cent saving over on Amazon at the moment. Fans of the compact, yet sturdy, electric grill are beyond impressed with its functions.

One customer who gave it a 5 star review on Amazon raved: “Got to hand it to Ninja….this product has no real competitors and more than a few traditional bbq manufacturers must be shaking their heads at the ability of this machine.”
Ninja’s Woodfire Electric Outdoor BBQ Grill is a highly-rated device that doubles up as an outdoor electric BBQ grill or a smoker – and doesn’t require charcoal or gas as it’s completely electric, unlike more traditional models. As such, it’s able to very quickly reach temperatures of up to 260 degrees to make outdoor cooking quick and easy.
Despite being electric, the Ninja gadget is IPX4 water resistant, meaning it can take a bit of a battering if you were to leave it outside in the elements. It’s not a great idea to leave it outside permanently, but it’s great peace of mind to know that the gadget isn’t going to die on you the moment a raincloud forms.
And it’s not just a grill and smoker. It can also be used as an air fryer with seven cooking functions including air fry, roast, bake, reheat and dehydrate.
It has a large 28x37cm non-stick grill plate that can fit eight burgers, 16 sausages, two racks of ribs or a 2kg pork shoulder, while its air frying basket can cook up to 1kg of wings or 1.5kg of hand-cut wedges. The perfect size for family barbecues.
The Ninja BBQ is equipped with a temperature probe. This lets you keep an eye on how hot things are getting inside so you know exactly when to flip your steaks for that perfect taste every time.
It’s an outdoor version of Ninja’s coveted air fryers, with it capable of cooking all sorts of meat and vegetables to perfection. And it has a trick up its sleeve for a more authentic barbecue taste too with a self-igniting wood pellet box to circulate smokey flavours.
Customers have been raving about the Woodfire Electric BBQ, which boasts 4.8 stars out of five after 802 reviews on Ninja’s site. Buyers have said the device is so good they’ve “thrown away their coal and gas” barbecues for this machine.
One review said: “Saves on coals and you get the taste of a BBQ and it’s so quick.” Another said: “Amazing and easy to use. I love my Ninja woodfire electric burner.
“So much easier and cleaner to use than a gas or coal BBQ. Love the multi-functions it has and the food tastes great. Ideal for small families or couples, ideal for one to four people could stretch to cooking for six but no more.”
A third added: “This is a game changer no more messing with coal you can cook with the lid open for a BBQ-style experience or closed to let the Ninja do all the work. It’s easy to clean and can fit around eight burgers at a time on the grill. It has a two-metre cable which makes it easy to set up. Cleaning’s easy thanks to the non-stick plates and removable tray.”
However, one customer said: “It’s a shame with fatty meat spitting at the lid the fat drips down the back and diverts to the legs making a bit of a mess when used repeatedly for varying foods.”
Another Amazon customer reckons that the grill can’t quite replace a good old fashioned barbecue though saying: “The food only vaguely tastes like it’s been BBQ’d when you apply the pellets, otherwise it’s just grilled food. And in order for it to work, you have to keep the lid closed so applying sauces isn’t easy and they don’t stick to the food in the same way as a conventional BBQ.”
If you are after a more traditional barbecue, the Weber compact kettle charcoal grill barbecue is currently down to £89.99 from £108.59 at Amazon. Alternatively, there’s the CosmoGrill Outdoor XL Smoker Barbecue which offers a bit more cooking space for £159.99.
The Ninja Woodfired Electric Outdoor BBQ is available on Amazon, in the grey and black colour scheme. Or you can pay more for the red and black version. It’s reduced from £429.99 to £416.83 at Amazon.
