Brian was a long standing member of Cardiff RFC and a dedicated member of the Cardiff Arms Park Male Voice Choir. David, beloved husband of Mavis, father to Gillian and grandfather to Joshua and Isaac sadly passed away on the 12th January 2022 aged 91. David served as a Royal Engineer and later as the National Welfare Officer for the British Korean War Veterans Association, a role he held alongside his full time profession of designer with South Glamorgan County Council. He was also a dedicated member of The “Not Forgotten” Association for the Ex-Service Disabled. A funeral service will take place on Thursday 10th February at 2pm in The Wenallt Chapel Thornhill. Peacefully, on Thursday 30th December, Angela fell asleep at her home after her brave battle which was fought with great strength and determination, Aged 51 years. Angela was surrounded by her heartbroken husband and best friend Phil, and her four loving sons Ryan, Jake, Aron and Max. Angela truly was an inspiration to all who knew her and will be deeply missed by her friends and colleagues. David Hugh HOBBS
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of David Hugh Hobbs on 31st December 2021, after a battle with pancreatic cancer. David passed away at Heath Hospital surrounded by his loving wife Elaine and children Tammy, Gareth and Dan. David was a grandfather to 8, a keen traveller and huge part of Tetbury and Rhiwbina rugby club, he will be missed by many. His funeral mass will be held on Friday 28th January at St Joseph’s Catholic Church at 11.15am, followed by cremation at Thornhill Crematorium, all welcome if restrictions allow.
