Argos is selling the Samsung Galaxy A26 5G for £249.99 with a free 75GB EE Pay As You Go SIM including unlimited texts and minutes
Argos has unveiled a fantastic deal for customers on the hunt for a brand-new phone to kick off the New Year – or a last-minute present for a special someone. The retailer is offering the Samsung Galaxy A26 for just £249.99, complete with an unusual freebie.
For a short period, Argos is throwing in a complimentary 75GB EE Pay As You Go SIM with the purchase, which includes unlimited texts and minutes. This means customers won’t have to fret about purchasing a SIM when they buy the A26 and can surf the internet without any additional charges.
It’s worth noting that after this, customers will need to shell out £15 a month to keep receiving the data, minutes and calls. Customers will get 75GB of data for the initial six months, followed by 25GB from the seventh month onwards, along with unlimited minutes and texts.

The SIM can also be snapped up separately for a mere £1. As for the phone itself, the Samsung Galaxy A26 5G is a mid-tier phone boasting a large 6.7″ FHD+ 120Hz Super AMOLED display, Exynos 1380 chip, and 50MP triple cameras, reports the Express.
It also comes equipped with a 5,000mAh battery, 25W charging, IP67 dust/water resistance, and Android 15 with One UI 7, promising long-term support with 6 OS updates, plus AI features like Object Eraser and Circle to Search.
For those eyeing other phones as we head into 2026, iPhone enthusiasts can snag the iPhone 17 Pro for £55 a month via Mobiles.co.uk, which includes a whopping 400GB of data. The new Google Pixel 10 phones are also worth considering.
Vodafone offers the Pixel 10 Pro for just £29.50 monthly with 5GB of data included. Regarding the Samsung Galaxy A26, customer reviews have been overwhelmingly positive from those who’ve already snapped up the handset.
One buyer commented: “I bought the A26 5G in the mint colour, and I’m really quite pleased with it, it’s a fantastic phone, better than I expected, really great value also from Argos”.
Meanwhile, another user remarked: “I only got it for a month, but I’m really happy with it.
“My favourite feature is that you can decide the percentage of charging, and the charging stops at that point to save battery life.”
Nevertheless, not all customers were satisfied.
One purchaser grumbled: “Not great to be honest, the battery is rubbish. Had to buy a new plug so I could use the charging cable that came with the phone, as none of my other charging cables would work with this phone.”
For other phone deals, Amazon is also a retailer to look at. In fact, it is currently selling the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL phone for an impressive 50 percent less.
The previous generation smartphone is on sake for £659, down from a staggering £1319.
On this model, Tech expert Henry Burrell said: “The Pixel 9 Pro is a superior Google phone for 2024. It has top of the line cameras, excellent performance and build quality and great battery life in a more compact size than before.”
