A man was arrested after police discovered over 240 ‘mature’ cannabis plants at a property in the Cathays area of Cardiff.
During an intelligence-led drug warrant, officers seized more than 240 mature cannabis plants and others in propagation from an address on Senghenydd Place in Cathays on Monday, February 1.
A 23-year-old man was arrested as a result of the raid on suspicion of cultivating cannabis. He has since been released under investigation.

Single cannabis plants are often valued at £840 in criminal trials, even if the plant is immature, according to drug consultancy service Allen Morgan Associates.
This would put the total worth of the Class B drugs seized in Cathays at around £201, 600.
A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: “On Monday February 1 st police officers executed an intelligence-led drugs warrant at an address on Senghenydd Place in the Cathays area of Cardiff.
“Over 240 mature cannabis plants were seized as well as others in propagation.
“A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis. He has been released under investigation.”
