Primark shoppers have been left seriously impressed by a new luggage range in the budget store – and it’s perfect to take on RyanAir flights as it fits perfectly
Primark has stepped up their game with a new suitcase design that’s just right for Ryanair – complete with a smart feature that travellers will love.
The problem of cabin bags not meeting size requirements is all too familiar for many, often resulting in having to cough up extra fees at the airport.
Enter Chelsea from TikTok, known as @cheapholidayexpert, who is always on the lookout for the best travel deals and finds – and she’s discovered a gem in this suitcase from Primark.
Chelsea first weighed the case and was delighted to find it “light,” tipping the scales at a mere 2kg. She praised the zips for being “pretty smooth” and found the handle easy to “pull up.”
Adding to its clever design, Chelsea demonstrated how a button allows users to “press in” and the “wheels pop out,” making the suitcase even more compact for tight spaces.
She couldn’t help noticing it appeared “so small,”, yet was optimistic as she unfolded a “bag for you to put the wheels in once you take them off”.
But Chelsea pointed out that “the handle inside does take up quite a lot of space,” leading her to test out the packing capacity of the case.
Using packing cubes, she arranged clothing and essential items, successfully fitting enough for a three-day trip. This included two t-shirts, a midi skirt, a long dress, a jumper, plus socks, underwear, bras for each day, and a bikini.
Then, on the other side, she placed “some spare shoes” along with her “toiletries bag, electronics, plug, and a tripod”.
“But is it gonna close?” she questioned before letting out a gasp when it did, remarking: “That wasn’t even a struggle”.
She added: “As a reminder, these are the measurements for a RyanAir free small cabin bag. So, we’re hoping this is 40cm,” while measuring the suitcase with her tape measure.
“It bl**dy is,” Chelsea excitedly said, and across it was 25cm. Across the top, she said she was “hoping for 20cm” and it was “pretty darn close”.
Chelsea ended the video by saying that she was going to take it to the airport to see “how quick and easy it is to take the wheels off”.
Ryanair permits one small personal bag on board without extra cost, provided it fits within dimensions of 40x20x25cm, for those with standard tickets. Those who opt for Priority & 2 Cabin Bags or Plus tickets can carry a more substantial bag sized up to 55x40x20cm and weighing no more than 10kg.
