An “absolutely beautiful” hotel in Perthshire can now be booked at a significant discount. It is located in a town that was recently named the top destination in Scotland “to see autumn colours”.

Pitlochry is a small town nestled along the River Tummel that is a popular base for exploring Perthshire and the Highlands. As reported by the Daily Record, the town was crowned one of the 10 best places in the world to enjoy autumn colours by Lonely Planet.

Through Wowcher, holidaymakers are currently able to book a one-night stay at the Knockendarroch House Hotel in Pitlochry at a price of £199. This marks a discount of 43 per cent, as the usual cost of an overnight stay is £350.

The deal includes a stay for two people in one of the hotel’s classic rooms with a full breakfast in the morning and a late check out. The rooms feature “elegant, contemporary furnishings”, en-suite bathrooms, and views of Pitlochry and the surrounding hills.

Additionally, the Knockendarroch House Hotel features an “elegant lounge with log fires and drinks”. There is also an acclaimed restaurant with locally inspired menus, where guests can enjoy a three-course dinner for an additional fee.

There are many other accommodation options to choose from in Pitlochry if the Knockendarroch House Hotel does not appeal. These include 4 Viewbank Gardens and Mullingar, which are available to book through holidaycottages.co.uk and Sykes Holiday Cottages respectively.

Sleeping up to three guests across two bedrooms, 4 Viewbank Gardens is an end-of-terrace cottage that features a sitting room with a wood-burner and a kitchen a dining space. It has been described in reviews as “comfortable” and “fabulous”, though one visitor described the accommodation as “very outdated”.

Meanwhile, Mullingar is a detached holiday home found near the centre of Pitlochry that sleeps up to six guests. The property includes a sitting room, a kitchen and diner, and a front garden with patio.

The Knockendarroch House Hotel itself has received very positive feedback from guests. On Tripadvisor, it has an overall rating of 4.9 out of five based on 1,302 reviews.

One guest shared: “Flawless stay. This is an extremely good hotel.

“The staff are excellent—polite, confident and very efficient. Our room was very comfortable and had sumptuous views.

“The decor is very well done—good to see a blend of classic country house and more modern artwork and colours. Breakfast was very good. We will be back.”

On the other hand, a three-star review reads: “I guess it depends what you like. This is a grand old mansion which was converted to a hotel.

“But the old seems to be a theme. Are squeaky floors old and quint or just annoying?”

Another satisfied guest shared: “The hotel is absolutely beautiful, the staff attentive and the food was just amazing. I can thoroughly recommend dinner.

“It was really special. Breakfast was lovely too. Some lovely choices. Thank you all for making our stay perfect.”

More information about the Knockendarroch House Hotel deal can be found on the Wowcher website.
