On New Year’s Eve, the Chengmai Lidao “Starry Night” New Year’s Eve Fireworks Show lit up the night sky at Lidao Park, marking a spectacular celebration of culture, technology and urban vitality.
Guided by Hainan Laocheng Shareholdings. and invested in and operated by Hunan Fireshow Company, the event brought together top creative forces from China and around the world. Led by the renowned Fireshow design team, the show featured a landmark international collaboration with Pyrotex Fireworx — champion of the Macao International Fireworks Display Contest — and Canada’s internationally acclaimed CanFire Pyrotechnics. Together, the teams co-created a tailor-made fireworks program exclusively designed for Chengmai, delivering heartfelt wishes for the year ahead through world-class artistry.
During the performance, highly anticipated signature visuals — including the iconic “Colorful Auspicious Clouds” — made a stunning appearance. Combined with the synchronized flight of drones, the show transformed the night sky into a breathtaking three-dimensional spectacle, offering audiences an immersive fusion of fireworks, light and sound.
Beyond the fireworks, the evening was further elevated by a diverse musical lineup. Renowned artists including Sha Baoliang, Jin Haixin, Yin Ziyue, Ni/Co, Hou Zhibin and Zezhou Siji took turns on stage, blending classic melodies with contemporary sounds and creating an unforgettable cross-cultural musical experience.
Through this landmark event, Chengmai — a historic city with deep cultural roots — revealed a new dimension of youthful energy and openness.
