The Milan-based reporter usually stays out of his mentions on X but one dig in particular left him smarting
Furious Fabrizio Romano has broken the habit of the lifetime by directly responding to a raging fan who branded the transfer specialist a “fraud”.
The Milan-based reporter usually stays out of his mentions on X, however, an irate Tottenham fan triggered him in the wake of Piero Hincapie’s pending move to Arsenal.
The announcement over a looming switch to the Gunners came moments after Romano claimed Tottenham were on the hunt to land the Ecuador international.
Spurs fans were left incensed with the latest snub a week after Eberichi Eze said to Thomas Frank’s side to join boyhood club Arsenal.
And Romano snapped after bearing the brunt of fan ire on social media.
Romano – responding directly to the brutal shot– said: “As long as you want to believe the narrative about Spurs not wanting Hincapié when they spent 10 days trying to get him, ok… then remember who told you about Savinho first.”
Hincapie appears set for the Gunners and Spurs punters will hope the deal for Savinho from Man City to be rubber-stamped before the window closes.
