Manchester-based soap Coronation Street won’t be airing as usual on Wednesday, March 2 as there will be live sport action on ITV. It’s the second night of FA coverage taking place on the channel.
The football will dominate two channels as Live FA Cup Football will start on ITV from 7.30pm. Liverpool are taking on Norwich City with kick-off from 8.15pm.
Meanwhile on BBC One, Match of the Day Live: The FA Cup airs on BBC One from 7pm. Gary Lineker will be presenting all the action as Luton Town will be playing Chelsea at Kenwilworth Road.

It’s the second night of soap disruption as on Tuesday, March 1, both Emmerdale and EastEnders were cancelled to make way for the live FA coverage.

When is Coronation Street returning to ITV?
Coronation Street will be back on ITV on Friday, March 4 for an hour-long episode airing from 8pm. An hour-long episode will also be airing on Sunday, March 6 from 8pm.
From Monday, March 7 there is going to be a change in the ITV schedule which will impact the soaps. The evening news programme is being extended from half an hour to an hour-long programme which will air each week night from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.
All the latest from the cobbles will be shown in hour-long episodes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm. Emmerdale will also be facing a change to its schedule and will be starting from 7.30pm every week night instead of 7pm.
