Covid cases among school staff and pupils has fallen very slightly in the last week, but there have been rising rates in some areas. Most case are still in primaries.
Releasing the data Public Health Wales said it was subject to change and cases reported by schools did not mean infection took place there. Covid cases in the general community across Wales have been rising.
Staff absences across Wales have seen whole year groups sent home to work again this week, although not because of Covid. Headteachers said they cannot get supply cover when staff are off, for Covid or non-Covid reasons.

Of the total 694 cases in the six days to March 15, 454 were in primaries, 177 in secondaries and 63 in “other” which includes independent and special schools and pupil referral units.
The health board area with the biggest rise in schools cases was Betsi Cadwaladr with 17 more than the week before.
At the same time schools in the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board area saw schools cases drop by 23.
Among council areas Powys saw the biggest individual rise in school cases which were up 14.
Bridgend and Wrexham both recorded a rise in schools cases by 11 each while in Cardiff they fell by 15.
