The team analysed Tripadvisor reviews, Instagram hashtags, and global search volumes to reach their conclusions. They discovered that the Rocky Mountaineer, situated in Canada, topped the list with an impressive 54,029 Instagram hashtags.
The train ride itself, which operates four routes in British Columbia, Alberta, Colorado, and Utah, is searched for a staggering 368,000 times per month, reports the Express.
As the name suggests, the Rocky Mountaineer passes through some stunning mountainous landscapes, making it extremely popular.
Switzerland’s GoldenPass Express clinched second place on the list. This journey connects Montreux with Interlaken, a beautiful town nestled amongst mountains in the Bernese Oberland.
GoldenPass Express received an average score of 4.5 for its service on TripAdvisor, with the train achieving an overall score of 8.39 from Japan Rail Pass.
