Advance Land Regeneration has secured planning permission from West Dunbartonshire Council to develop a five hectare site on Cardross Road in Dumbarton.
Working in partnership with Miller Homes (West) Scotland, the site will be home to 81 new family homes.
Formerly occupied by St Michael’s Primary School and Notre Dame Convent, Advance Land Regeneration – together with planning consultants Barton Willmore and consultant engineers Dougall Baillie Associates – has spent the past year working closely with the local planning department to ensure that the layout responds to the constraints within the site.
Work will start on site shortly to develop a new residential community featuring a mix of two storey housing, alongside open space, a play area and a new access road.
The Carmelite Sisters will remain in Craigend House within the site and are looking forward to having neighbours for the first time in over 20 years.
