The Warrior Princess Edeleyo was the eldest daughter of Oba Ewuare the 1st of Ancient Benin Kingdom.
Princess Edeleyo, who has been raised and trained to lead and be a role model, loved and respected by
the people . She was a strong warrior as well as loveable individual.
Her story tells us of the impact and role of women in pre-colonial Era .
Oba Ewuare the Great, had during his reign changed a lot of processes and reduced the power of the
Uzama’s.
EDELEYO- THE DECISION was produced by Phreshwater Creations and was shot in Benin-City in July
2023.
In what was a tasking and hectic shoot, the cast and crew braced themselves in telling the story of a
great and Inspirational character and Model.
