Charles Hoskinson, founder of Cardano (ADA), attacked Ethereum Classic (ETC) and said the crypto project was suspended. He said this not long after comparing Solana (SOL) with an outdated Nintendo machine.
Founder of Cardano (ADA) and the ETC Community
The feud between the founders of Cardano and the Ethereum Classic community is heating up. Hoskinson criticized ETC after an ETC supporter accused Hoskinson of trying to profit from network This follows a proposal for a 20 percent mining tax.
In a recent tweet, Hoskinson called Ethereum Classic a suspended animation project with no real purpose or convincing argument for its existence.
“I like the suggestion that sustainable development funds are seen as a miner’s tax,” explained the CEO of Global Input Output (IOG) sarcastically. Crypto Potato.
Hoskinson added, Ethereum Classic made him sad because the potential was not realized. According to him, blockchain is a dead project with no real purpose and only exists because the community insists.
In 2014, the Cardano executive left Ethereum (ETH) due to arguments regarding the future direction of development.
Hoskinson has been a strong supporter of ETC since hard fork from Ethereum in 2016. Last year, he even joined the Ethereum Classic Cooperative Board of Directors.
However, Hoskinson received accusations from the ETC community after he proposed a decentralized treasury protocol to set up a development fund for the blockchain.
The proposal will change the block reward allocation. Because of this, Hoskinson’s proposal was not well received by members of the Ethereum Classic community, especially the miners who rejected the idea because it reduced their rewards.
The charges against Hoskinson occurred when ETC reached all-time high for hash rate of 48.82 TH/s this week. Hash rate ETC added more than 100 percent in the last year.
Thanks to the increase, the price of ETC also rallied 20 percent and surpassed the value of US $ 40.
This is not the first time the ETC community has rejected Hoskinson’s proposal. After the blockchain suffered a series of 51 percent attacks, Hoskinson reached out to help.
But at that time, few members of the ETC community were willing to accept his help.
As a result, Hoskinson said while he intended to help the ETC community in the past, he felt he was being treated unfairly by the Ethereum Classic leadership team.
Not only that, the Cardano founder controls the Ethereum Classic Twitter account. He has no intention of giving access to the community in the near future, much to the dismay of ETC supporters. [ed]
