Greg Docherty is being chased by a string of clubs in England and the US as he awaits news on a contract offer from Charlton, writes Andy Newport.
The former Rangers and Hull midfielder is club captain at the Valley and was instrumental to the Addicks’ successful Championship survival bid last term.
But with just one year remaining on his contract in South East London, rival suitors are keeping tabs on his situation.
In the Championship, both Blackburn and second-tier new boys Bolton are monitoring developments while there is also interest from Russell Martin’s Leicester in League One.
Across the Atlantic, several MLS clubs are also keen on the 29-year-old.
However, Record Sport understands the Charlton skipper is in no rush to leave and would be happy to discuss signing fresh terms with his current employers.
Docherty joined the club in the summer of 2024 and went on lead the Londoners to promotion to the Championship via the play-offs at the end of his first campaign.
