Find below when all of the major supermarkets across the country will be open over Easter.
There’s just less than two weeks until Easter. Officially arriving on Sunday, April 5 this year, families up and down the country might be planning on getting in all the essentials.
Whether it be extra chocolate eggs, hot cross buns, or even the traditional roast dinner trimmings, chances are a trip to the supermarket will need to be on the cards. However, it does always bring with it the question of when shops will be open over the holiday weekend.
Many parts of the UK recognise the Easter weekend as a bank holiday, leading to three days off. This is slightly different in Scotland, as it only applies to Good Friday, which falls on April 3 this year.
Nevertheless, we know this time of year, much like Christmas, can cause havoc with opening hours, especially since some down south like to close earlier than normal. That isn’t the case for Scotland, with many remaining open as normal, with some minor tweaks, depending on the location.
To help out, we have provided below the full list of all the opening times this Easter weekend for all the major supermarkets in Scotland. Remember to always use a supermarket store finder tool to ensure you don’t get caught out, as opening times can occasionally differ depending on the location.
