EasyJet has launched it’s massive cheap seats sale and it can mean big savings for next summer, says Martin Lewis

Today is the cheapest day to bag affordable summer holiday flights for 2027 according to Martin Lewis. The Money Saving Expert founder shared an “urgent warning” for anyone looking ahead to book a trip abroad for next summer.
Taking to social media on Monday , July 27, Martin Lewis shared that today is EasyJet’s ‘flight release day’ and is ‘likely the cheapest predictable moment to get EasyJet summer 2027 flights (14 June to 26 Sept)’.
The airline has provided millions of new flight seats for people to buy until the end of September 2027.
Lewis said: “Now, easyJet has a rather interesting system for pricing its flights. It’s called ‘dynamic pricing’ and it means that the price depends on the demand – the more demand, the more that you pay.
“So, the most predictable time to get cheap flights is exactly the moment it releases the flights because there’s minimum demand at that time because they weren’t available beforehand.”
The financial expert added that 14 million seats are being released across 78,000 different flights and while it’s not a “definitive” that you will get a cheap seat, it’s definitely worth a look.
EasyJet launched their Big Seat Release this morning with a statement that reads: “The Big Seat Release has landed – meaning you can now book flights until 26 September 2027.
“Our package holidays are already on sale through to 31 October 2027. We’ve got millions of free kids’ places available, too.“The most popular dates won’t stay available for long, so if you’ve got your eye on next summer’s school holidays, now’s the time to book.”
Scots can browse from over 56 destinations from Edinburgh Airport and 41 locations from Glasgow International.
Current deals in the easyJet Big Seat Release for summer 2027 include flights to Rome from Glasgow airport at the end of June 2027 for as little as £36pp.
Those looking for a more family friendly holiday to align with the school holidays, can jet off to Faro in Portugal from Glasgow for £64pp at the end of July 2027.
Meanwhile at the end of June 2027, easyJet are offering package holidays to Lanzarote for under £540pp in self catering accommodation with a beachfront location.
The easyJet big seat release sale also covers last minute flights this summer for anyone who is still hoping to snap up a cheap deal in the coming weeks.
Flights to Tenerife from Edinburgh airport at the end of August start from £47 with return flights available in September that bring the entire total to less than £100 for both ways.
