Some 22 of the Labour MPs voted against while 15 voted for.
All five Scottish Tory MPs voted against, while the SNP abstained. Two Lib Dems voted against and three voted for.
One Lib Dem abstained by voting for and against the bill.
The legislation doesn’t apply in Scotland, as Holyrood has its own bill which is going through at the moment.
