The Daily Record has compiled a league table of the town halls with the highest levels of council tax.
Local authorities have set their council tax for the financial year 2025/26 and big rises are on the way.
Hikes of over 10% have been pushed through in a number of areas due to claims by councils they have been under-funded for a number of years.
Despite the banding system being the same across the country, the rates paid by citizens differ on account of local discretion.
A paper by North Lanarkshire Council lays out which town halls have the highest and lowest Band D rates for 2024/25. These figures exclude any upcoming changes.
